This application has all of the functions of the EJ400T handheld electronic dictionary with the exception of pronunciation / voice synthesis. Users can now familiarize themselves with the powerful linguistic features of this electronic dictionary and assess them in action.

The bidirectional English<->Japanese<->English (Kana and Kanji) dictionary of approx. 450,000 words contains general expressions, medical, technical, legal, and business terms. All translations from English are displayed with 'Romanized' pronunciation keys. EJ400T provides five options of character input. 'Romanized' input methods allow entering characters of each syllabary by their Latin transcriptions. Depending on the selected input method the string of Latin letters typed by you is automatically converted to characters of Hiragana, Katakana or Kanji (in Hiragana pronunciation). Input by strokes or by radical can be selected when the desired characters can't be located by their Latin transcriptions.

This model will facilitate all the foreign language tasks for you. When you are unsure of the proper English word's spelling, the Vector Ultima™ spell-checker allows you to enter the word as you hear it and to choose a spelling version from the list of options.

There's a phrase bank with 1,100 commonly used phrases divided into 12 topics helping you to prepare for challenges of a foreign trip.
